Where can I find parking?Parking is available at Bishopsgate Car Park accessed through Gate 16 on Hunter Crescent Street. Access Hunter Crescent Street via the southernmost entry of William Street, which is a one-way street accessible from Blues Point Road. Click for Google Map here. At the end of Hunter Crescent Street, you’ll find Gate 16. If the boom gates are not open, please contact Kirsten of RISE at 048 1155 246. Drive straight towards the undercover with the "Drop Off & Pick Up Entrance" signage. Continue through to the end, then turn left into the road. The entrance to Bishopsgate Car Park will be on your left. Please note the maximum vehicle height is 1.9 meters. After parking, the pedestrian exit towards the Gate 15 Hunter Crescent Street entrance is located at the far end of the car park. When leaving the car park, exit to the left onto Union Street. Where do I drop off and pick up my child?Drop-off and pick-up will take place at Gate 15 Hunter Crescent Entry. When arriving by vehicle, access Hunter Crescent via the southernmost entry of William Street, which is a one-way street accessible from Blues Point Road. Click for Google Map here. The Sports Hall is located two flights of stairs up from the Gate 15 Hunter Crescent entry. It can also be accessed via the street-level lift.

What are the specific times for Camp drop-off and pick-up?Drop-Off Time: 08:45 AM Pick-Up Time: 2:45 PM Please ensure that you arrive a few minutes early to allow for a smooth and safe transition. Our staff will be there to greet your child, sign them in, and guide them to their activities. At pick-up, we will sign your child out to ensure their safety.

Is there a specific procedure I need to follow for drop-off and pick-up?Yes, for the safety and security of all students, please follow these steps: Park in the designated area if needed. Walk your child to check-in with our staff. Sign your child in with our staff. For pick-up, sign your child out with our staff before leaving.

What should I do if I need to pick up my child early?If you need to pick up your child early, please inform our staff ahead of time. When you arrive, check in with our staff who will assist you with the early pick-up process.

Can my child check out themselves?For the safety and security of all our students, we generally require that all children be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. However, if you wish for your child to leave the premises unaccompanied, we require written consent. Please email us at letsplay@riseyouthbasketball.com with the dates and your permission for your child to leave by themselves. This ensures we have proper documentation and can maintain a secure environment.

Where is RISE located and how do I get there?Winter Holiday Camps will be at the Sports Hall (Level 1) of Shore School, North Sydney. From the Gate 15 Hunter Crescent Street Entrance, take two flights of stairs up and proceed straight to the end of the corridor to reach the Sports Hall Gallery. For wheelchair and stroller access, the Sports Hall (Level 1) can be reached via the lift located at the Gate 15 Hunter Crescent Street entrance. See slideshow below for reference photos.

Are there toilets in the venue?Yes, there are toilet facilities, showers and lockers at the venue.

How many coaches are there?Our main coach, Coach Chris Calixto, will be leading the sessions. Depending on the class size, he will be assisted by 1 to 3 assistant coaches to ensure a high level of attention and instruction. Coach to student ratio is 1:15.

My child has never played basketball before. Can I enroll them in this camp?Yes, beginners are welcome! Our camps cater to all skill levels from 6 years old and up.

How will my child be grouped?Children will be grouped by age, but coaches will also assess their skill levels to ensure they are placed in the most suitable group.

What is each day at camp like?Get ready for action-packed days from Monday to Thursday! We'll kick things off with warm-ups and dive into exciting games, skill-building drills, and plenty of breaks for snacks and lunch. Fridays are all about the thrill of the tournament, with campers showing off their skills in a series of fun games. Each day starts with drop-off and sign-in and wraps up with some closing activities before pick-up. It's all about fun, learning, and making new friends!

How much are the classes?Our Excellence Program is $315 for 9 classes which covers all Saturdays of school term. Class passes can also be purchased for $35 each.

How do Class Passes work?If your schedule doesn't permit committing to our Excellence Program for the entire term, we offer the flexibility of Class Passes. What if my child misses a class?In the event that your child misses a class, we offer the flexibility to transfer the missed session within the same term. This means you have the option to allocate the missed class to a sibling or another child, ensuring that the learning experience is not missed. Can I transfer my child to another class or time slot after the classes have started?Certainly! What should my child wear?We recommend youth athletes wear comfortable sports attire, including breathable clothing and proper training or basketball shoes.

What will happen if there is inappropriate behaviour during class?We maintain a positive and respectful learning environment for all participants, and the safety and respect towards our coaches are of utmost importance. In the rare instance of inappropriate behaviour, our coaches will address the situation promptly and professionally. Depending on the severity, we may have a discussion with the child involved, and if necessary, with the parents, to find a resolution and maintain a conducive atmosphere for everyone in the class.

Can I enrol siblings in the same class?Absolutely! We encourage family participation, and you can enrol siblings in the same class. However, we recommend considering the different skill levels of siblings. Our coaches are experienced in assessing individual skills, and if needed, they can provide insights to ensure that each child gets the most out of the class. Feel free to discuss any specific considerations or have our coaches assess the best fit for your siblings during the enrollment process by sending short videos of each child to letsplay@riseyouthbasketball.com.

Widely regarded as Sydney's secret weapon, Coach Chris is the go-to mentor for semi-professional players, specialising in refining shooting, footwork, and court IQ through private sessions. In addition, our assistant coaches and staff are all experienced professionals, each holding a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). This ensures a safe and nurturing environment for every participant. Rest assured, our coaching team is committed to providing top-notch guidance and fostering a positive learning experience for your child.
